Little Bay Beach is one of Sydney’s undiscovered jewels. A ‘secret’ beach popular with locals, it’s well protected from large coastal swells making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Its golden sands are popular with families while the rock ledges to the north and south are well-known, but sometimes dangerous, fishing spots.
Access to the secluded beach is via a steep timber staircase. Take Pine Avenue off Anzac Parade and there is parking on the street. A café is located in the Prince Henry Centre towards the top of the beach near the chapel.
International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the acts of courage by women, reflect on progress made in the past, and to continue to fight for gender parity!
It was first celebrated in 1975 by the United Nations, and has continued to be a day where the past and present achievements of women are celebrated, alongside a continued fight for gender equality.
Although we are still not at a stage where women are paid an equal amount to their male counterparts, they still aren’t present in equal numbers in businesses, and globally women’s education and health is not valued as highly as those of their counterparts, it is safe to say that today we can celebrate more equality present than ever before!
So today we ask you to celebrate women and how far we have all come as a society!
