Things not to miss in Melbourne this April!

Melbourne Comedy Festival

There’s always room for a bit of laughter in your life! Running from the 27th of March to the 21st of April is the Melbourne International Comedy festival and it’s something you can’t miss! Whether you go with you partner or your pals (three or more people get you 10% off!), you’ll be sure to have an amazing night. Wallet looking a little thin? Go for a show on Tightarse Tuesday for a discount! Whether you catch the All Star Super show or the infamous Annual Great Debate, you’ll have a stellar of a night!

Food Truck Festival

We’ve got something for all of the foodies as well! The Food Truck Festival will be running from the 24th to the 28th and will feature some of the best grub in all of Melbourne! It will have top notch food trucks, stealthy beers and live entertainment. What more could you ask for? Bring your kids along for some carnival games and get ready to enjoy some sensational street food!

Europa Night Market

This autumn, the first of a kind, Europa Festival is coming to Melbourne! For five weeks from the 10th April, the Queen Victoria Market will turn into a European food mecca with 20+ stallholders! From German currywurst to Portuguese barbecue, everyone will have something that satisfies their stomachs. As well as mouth watering bites, they will also offer a range of cultural activities like Ukrainian egg-dyeing and silent discos! There’s something for everyone and it’s also free to attend!

Lyrical Lunchtime at the Supreme Court

Whether you need a quick lunch time detox or a relaxing rest while you’re in the city, you can do just that at the Supreme Court. Throughout certain days in April, The Law Library of Victoria and BottledSnail productions are giving the public a chance to relax to the sounds of Mozart and Bach! No fees, no booking. Just turn up, take a seat and reflect in the calming surroundings of the Supreme Court library.

Light up Melbourne Festival

From April 6th to April 9th, the north bank of Yarra will be lit up with lanterns and the lower terrace of Birrarung Marr will be illuminated with light installations! The Light Up festival is free to enter and will be filled with bustling entertainment, decadent market stalls and bright lights. The festival pays homage to the Chinese Lantern festival and the centerpiece of the festival will be an enormous lit eternal dragon that symbolizes good fortune and strength. Be sure to head over to Light Up this April and snap a pic!
